She is noted for her four-octave range in her voice and her distinctive use of the whistle register, which have received critical acclaim from critics and the media. Grande has received numerous accolades throughout her career such as two Grammy Awards, one Brit Award, one Bambi Award, two Billboard Music Awards Three American Music Awards, nine MTV Video Music Awards, and 30 Guinness World Records.

Grande's musical career began at 15 years old with the Broadway musical "13". The role she played as Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon's Victorious (2010-2013) and Sam & Cat (2013) became her most well-known. After watching YouTube videos of Grande covering songs, Republic Records signed Grande in the year 2011. The US Billboard 200 topped Grande's 1950s-inspired pop and R&B debut album, [2 Yours Truly (2013). The single "The Way" has risen to the top ten on the US Billboard Hot 100. Grande's voice and whistle register on the album immediately drew the comparisons of Mariah Carey.

Grande was the first solo artist in history to to hold the Top Three spots on the Hot 100, and also the first female artist to make it to the top of the UK Singles Chart. Grande's collaborations in 2020, including Justin Bieber ("Stuck with U") and Lady Gaga's "Rain on Me", both won her the Grammy Award as Best Pop duo or group performance. Grande has expanded her trap genre with her sixth studio album, Positions (2020), that album as well as its title track were ranked at the top of the charts in the UK as well as the US. Grande worked with The Weeknd to remix "Save Your Tears" and was her sixth US number one single.
