Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu is a voice actress singer and director. She's also an actress. A beautiful and smart actor, she is an example to many Asian actors who want to be successful in Hollywood. An early string of success roles in a popular TV show made her popular for her role in the show on Ally McBeal, where she appeared as Ling Woo. In the wake of a rapid rise in her popularity, she landed roles on big screens including Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. She gave a stellar performance as Japanese O-Ren, a gangster from Japan (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. In the same period she was also in box-office failures including Rise: Blood Hunter. Then she began voicing characters from animated films such as Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason from Cashmere Mafia was a small role that failed to have any impact. Southland, a critically acclaimed series of crime dramas that featured Liu in recurring role, allowed her to reaffirm her as an actress. Liu picks her roles carefully in order to ensure she is not cast in an industry that is competitive. Though she's proud of her heritage but she doesn't let the fact that she is from China limit her creative abilities.
