Taylor Swift has become a unique pop star: a superstar who crossed over completely from traditional music into pop culture and became an iconic pop star that is set to last forever and conquering all of the world. Swift shed her roots in country music like a second-skin, and revealed that she had the best pop sensibility of her generation. Swift was the only musician/singer to take the popular zeitgeist out on the road. The first songs she released, such as the neotribute in tribute to Tim McGraw were a testament to her talents. The second album Fearless in 2008 showcased an songwriter discovering her voice, and also a larger public. The album was a huge success, not just on American soil, with six platinum-certified singles. The Top Ten songs Love Story and I Belong with Me were the most important reasons. But, it also did exceptionally well throughout the world. The Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago was a continuation of her earlier popularity and launched her into superstardom. Swift's popularity grew over the course of the three albums that followed - Red (2012) 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift was now firmly established within a genre where she belonged. It was not long before she altered her plan in 2020's more streamlined siblings Folklore (and Evermore) and stayed at the top of the charts.
